Try to say that name three times fast! Shoot, I can barely even say it once. Muhammara is a rather delicious and unique Syrian dip made from roasted red peppers and walnuts. It is also a great conversation starter, while I was eating it at school yesterday 4 people stopped to asked me what I was eating. The best part about it is if you have a food processor it takes about 2 minutes to make.
Ingredients
- 4 large roasted red peppers
- 1 medium sized clove of garlic
- a few sprigs of mint (if you have it)
- tbs of lemon juice
- s&p
- 1-2 tbs of evoo
- generous handful of walnuts
- tsp of pomegranate molasses (if not a teaspoon of sugar will work fine, I tried it)
- 1 tsp of hot paprika (or paprika and some cayanne)
Throw all of that into a food processor (no need to chop it up first) and blend.
